I don't know about news about Brownie Points in general.  I did notice yesterday that all of my points were there from last year, and they're still there this morning.  That's good.  But, my question is what happened to my points that I earned yesterday?  They didn't change.  Every year on January 1 we don't seem to get any points.  What gives with that?

I'm still waiting to hear what the brownie points are good for and how they are redeemed.

I was wondering about the points, too.  My points were still there yesterday and again today.  As stated, they are usually wiped clean the beginning of the year!!!  What gives???

Yea I think that if a website is awarding visiters with points we should at least know how to use them

The site has had problems since they redid it. I have been a member for a long time & I still have a hard time finding what I am looking for &  VBB has not told us what is going on with the points.

I asked last year and I too, am still waiting to find what we can do with the brownie points.  I think they should offer things like aprons, measuring cups, spoons, bowls, cups etc.  They could even have the "very best" logo on them.

I also posted this question - I remember reading that we would be able to "turn points in" for some type of merchandise. Haven't heard anything back yet....Frown

I never figured the points were anything.  I never posted enough to get a lot of points anyway.  Now they just remind me how much time I spend on this site.  Not that I am complaining.  I am having a great time.
I figure the information I get, the recipes I get and the friends I have "met" are enough of a reward.

Pretty sure that the reason the points did not go to zero at the first of the year is the number of problems that were encountered during "The Change" caused the Points System to be put on hold.  (not 100% sure this is the reason you may want to re post this in Ask Very Best Baking for an "official" answer.)

As far as merchandise I would much rather get coupons for "free" product.  I have enough stuff don't need any more to add.

I agree with Nikki -- I don't need any free gifts and cringe at the thought of the postage paid to deliver anything.  I would like coupons for great products that we all use so much.

Not sure if Very Best is looking at these discussions to do something about them or is this just and area where we talk among ourselves as of 3/9/11 there has not been any news as to what the brownie points are for or how to use them.  It would be nice if they told us something.

I think that VBB has mentioned in other posts..I think I saw something in the "Ask Very Best Baking".. they are trying to figure out something to do.   I figure if and when the time comes I will just have more points.
"Patience"..... "Young Grasshopper"  wasn't that the line oft uttered by the Master to Kane in Kung Foo.  WOW where did that memory come from?!!
