1. Start with the Valentine’s Card.
• Get the little ones involved with a fun craft project. Gather colored craft paper, crayons, glue, lace cutouts and glitter and let the kids show their love.
• If you’re throwing a party, send out heart-shaped invitations.

2. Think pink.
• Swag pink crêpe paper streamers from room center to walls.
• Hang honeycomb hearts around the room and in windows.
• Set lots of pink votive candles around the room. Don't forget to light them.
• Place a single pink rose or pink daisy at each person's place setting.

3. Eat and drink pink.
• For breakfast, serve strawberry- or cherry-filled croissants.
• For lunch, make personal heart-shaped pizzas.
• For dinner, serve salmon or shrimp with pink-tinted rice and pink-tinted butter on bread.
• For dessert, serve strawberry ice cream floats in tall champagne flutes.

4. Give simple “made with love” Valentine’s Day gifts.
• Hand out heart-shaped cookies and chocolates.
• With your daughter, make braided friendship bracelets she can give to her friends.
• For tea lovers, make two heart-shaped labels and write a special message on one. Use doublesided tape to attach both sides to the tea bag string. Repeat for each tea bag, then package all together as one gift.

Make coupons entitling loved ones to dinners, outings, movies or back rubs.
